Flour milled from dehydrated green banana.
Produced in Xinavane in the Maputo Province with bananas preferentially acquired from local producers’ associations.
Green banana flour is rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, C, D and E, as well as Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium and Zinc. Although it is rich in carbohydrates, it has a low glycaemic index, thus being appropriate to diabetics and for cholesterol control.
Available in 200gr, 300gr, 500gr and 1 kg packages.
Add a soup spoon of flour to a glass of milk, juice, or fruit shake.
Prepare porridge by adding a spoon to water or milk and then boiling and stirring for 30 seconds.
Use to bake cakes and cookies by replacing traditional flours.
